This story is provided by Mr. Brian Lucas, resident of Alberta, Canada, an obvious 303 and gardening enthusiast. In most of his recommendations, Brian has capitalized on the enduring repellency 303 Aerospace Protectant provides.
"At this time of the year when gardening comes to a close in Canada, 303 Aerospace Protectant is a favorite of mine to preserve our tools, i.e. lawnmowers, pruning shears, shovels, rakes, forks, etc. Actually, I use it every year on all garden implements that are subject to rusting in unheated sheds.
All items should first be cleaned, then sprayed all over (with 303 Aerospace Protectant), then wiped completely dry for rust protection and deterioration. I also treat all the wooden handles. 303 soaks right in and softens and wood leaving a waxy-type water beading finish. This also eliminates those little cactus-spine type splinters that are so irritating and hard to get out.
Another use is on greenhouses that are constructed with plastic or `Tenplast' (a corrugated plastic material). I treat my Tenplast in both spring and fall. Clean the roof and sides, then treat with 303 Protectant to give the greenhouse UV and weather protection. Up here, Tenplast will usually yellow from the sun after a couple of years. I've had mine and have been 303'ing it for 6 years now with no sign of yellowing.
Spray 303 Protectant on all plastic, wooden and metal garden furniture that will remain outside over the winter.
And before the snowfall, treat plastic, aluminum or steel snow shovels with 303 Protectant. It preserves them and see how even heavy wet snow doesn't stick."
